Had this on tap at Bailey's in Portland on 2/23/13.
A: Pours a rich brown with a creamy espresso head that leaves solid lacing.
S: Roasted malts, some coffee, nutty aroma.
T: Coffee shines through, burnt malts, subtle chocolate, molasses. Not getting any sort of maple.
M: Medium mouthfeel, dry finish, and highly drinkable.
O: A good porter that I would drink multiple pints of because of the drinkability. Nice representation of the style, although I didn't get any maple flavors.

Poured from tap at Coalition Brewery.
This is a wonderful and balanced porter and was definitely growler worthy. (Tasted a second time from growler with consistent notes).
Poured dark brown/black with a good head and decent retention and lace. Aromas of coffee and caramel are most notable along with some brown sugar/oatmeal hints and a touch of anise. The palate follows the nose with mostly semi-sweet cocoa, coffee, and a touch of molasses. There is a hint of sweet maple, but it's faint (and nicely integrated I might add). The body is light to medium but the texture is velvety. (Tasted from growler: seems a bit light even for a porter. Be forewarned)
There is a lot going on here and the beer still manages to stay balanced. Great year round porter!

Poured much lighter than I typically look for in a porter, almost the shade of a brown ale, very dark amber. I poured a little heavy so I can get a nice head, beige in color, very cloudy and textured. Aroma is hard to find but it was all malt once I got it. Great coat on first drink, dissipating slowly on the cheeks. Was hoping for a hint of maple in taste but it was nowhere to be found, very roasty malt flavor with a sweet aftertaste, almost hints of syrup if I really stretch the imagination. Very good if you're looking for a basic toasted malt flavor, not complex in flavor to me.

22oz bottle from "Lifesource" in Salem OR $4.99 This says 5.8% alc. Pours a pretty dark brown almost mahogany colour. Nice frothy, thick light tan head. Nice caramel, fudge, maple syrup aroma, almost creamy. Taste similar but has a more bitter dark chocolate ans sea salt thing going on..maple in the back taste. Nice smooth ,likable mouth feel. I kinda liked this one..pretty interesting.

Thanks to Tieman for sharing this one at his tasting.
Pours a clear copper with a foamy bone head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Tiny dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of toasted malt, caramel, and slight maple aromas. Taste is much the same with maple and wood flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of toasty bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and dry mouthfeel. Overall, this is an above average beer with a much better maple presence in the aroma.

Bottle shared by beastmaster. Pours amber reddish orange with a small white creamy head. Aroma of maple, hot garbage, lager yeast. Weird. This looks and smells nothing like a porter. Flavor is, um, some combination of maple wood chunks, Asian tea leaves, smoke (wtf?), more tea. Well that was weird. Medium body, a bit watered down, with medium plus plus carbonation. Not sure about this one. Not offensive really, just a bit bland and boring. And definitely not a porter.
