Poured into pint glass during Portland Mighty Mites small beer festival~
What a refreshing beer! Though this pales in comparison to true hefeweizen, this is a good effort and a classic wheat ale with an American twist. Pours a hazy straw hue with decent head and nice lace. Very good nose with a hefty note from the wheat and yeast. Hints of clove, spice, and banana with a cereal, roasted oat aroma dominating (obviously from the wheat).
The palate is clean and simple, not too much going on, but pleasant enough. Finish is medium with light flavors and decent balance.
Overall very good and a beer I wouldn't mind sipping on those very rare hot Portland afternoons.

Many thanks, big ups and major props to msubulldog25 for having sent this to me in furtherance of The CANQuest (TM)!
From the CAN: "Wheat the People is a crystal clear Ameri[CAN] wheat beer. A base of Ameri[CAN] 2-row and white wheat instill this brew with a crisp and refreshing taste while still maintaining the traditional body wheat beer is known for. Single hopped with a light touch of Hallertaur hops, Wheat the People is the ultimate easy drinking craft beer. Pairs best with friends, BBQ, and warm summer afternoons."
I have a tall glass at the ready as this is a tallboy CAN. The Crack! revealed a brimful craft CAN and the inverted Glug was underway. I quickly had two fingers of dense, foamy bone-white head with decent retention. Color was a slightly hazy sunshine yellow (SRM = 4 - 5). Nose was softly grassy, with the hops leading the way along with the slight tartness of wheat following just behind. Mouthfeel was soft, neither creamy nor thin, but still soft. The taste had the light tartness of wheat, slightly lemony, but with a grassiness imparted by the hops. I would certainly agree with them that it is a summer beer, but The CANQuest (TM) knows no seasonal boundaries. Finish was light, crisp, refreshing and I would certainly entertain having some in my cooler during the summer months.

12 oz can from"Lifesource" in Salem OR $1.25 Pours very very pale yellow like a pale lager, but the head is large and lasts a while...pure white bubbly/frothy. Not much aroma and what there is is slightly strange it is slightly cheesy, wet wheat, toast and a little hazelnut Taste is mainlly wheat, nuts and paper..very weak. Palate is thin but not totally watery. Very very weak and average this rem kinds me of a mid-90s "craft" brew
