Sampled on-tap at the brewpub.
This porter poured a clear brown color with reddish chestnut around the edges and with creamy tan foam that persisted a while. The smell was a light chocolate malty aroma, though not overly pronounced. The taste was mildly malty with flavors of chocolate and cocoa and a bit of yeast. The hop presence was modest and was well covered by the malt. The mouthfeel was smooth and creamy with medium body and moderate carbonation. The mild malty flavors lingered a bit in the aftertaste. This was a decent porter and was easy to drink, though overall it was a bit thin on flavor.
