Grainy maltiness with aromas of figs and lemon grass from the use of traditional English yeast and hops. This beer has earthy flavors which are rounded out nicely by a smooth bitter finish.

A - Pours a hazy amber 2 finger khaki head with a wall of fine lacing.
S - Tart malty aroma, caramel and biscuit malt, some tart citrus juice, a little toasty.
T - Definitely some toasted malt, dark and bitter, some more roasted grain in the back too, very little hop character coming out in this.
M - Kind of a creamy roasty feel to it with a mild bitterness.
O - This would make a better India Brown Ale than an english IPA, its very malt forward with lots of roasty traits.

A-Pours a slightly hazy dark amber hue. Head is quite large. Two full inches of fizz. Lots and lots of lacing too.
S-Light metallic aroma. Baked bread and a very mild hop presence. Cooked vegetable hops. Caramel and toast.
T-A lot of caramel and some flower petal hops. Sweet cereal and metal.
M-Medium bodied. Soft carbonation. Light bitterness.
O/D-No, no, no.

This local IPA looks golden brown with a very impressive white head and plentiful lacing. Looks very solid. The aroma brings a slightly tart cabbage with strawberry wine and fermenting wheat. There's some cherry malt sweetness too. Decent but not highly inviting. The first mouthful brings an immediate vegetable and dark fruit medley that finishes with a fairly grassy hop bite. I get rhubarb-cherry with a muted maple-malt and vodka-like edges. It's really a plenty tasty treat but if IPA's conjure up hop bitterness aspirations for you, then you will probably be disappointed. This is medium-light bodied with a fairly effervescent feel. Enjoyable for one or two but not fulfilling enough to sustain a session.
