For someone who lives in Gresham and not Portland I hate driving all the time to Portland to get good beer. While the drive isn't bad it's still annoying. However on days that I just want to make a quick run out of the door to get some beer, The Beer Den is just what I need.

This place I found by accident while driving around and I'm glad I did. They have a small selection of bottles, beer supplies for crafting your own and a really good tap list. Best of all they have one of my favorite beers on tap almost all the time, Boneyard's Hop Venom! With them having 26 taps I'm sure most anyone will find something of interest. They get things I don't see around town all that much and you can get a growler of any of it (that I have seen anyway). Their growler prices are decent and the fills are good as well.

The atmosphere and food selection are were they could really improve. The place isn't designed all that well, but I'm really there for the beer so I could care less. I do wish the bar stools were a bit better or at least get some higher ones or fix the bar counter. For food they just have peanuts and some snacks you can get so if your wanting something to eat you need to go a few steps out the door and come back. Maybe one day they will get some food set up but until then it's all about the beer.

Overall this is a nice place. I have seen only one or two people in there and then I have seen it almost full. Sandy is an interesting place and I hope this establishment will last the long term. I think it has one of best customer service out of all the places I have gone. It has a really good rotating tap list along with having bottles and beer making supplies. The only things that need work are a food selection and perhaps some more thought on cosmetics.
