Hoppy with a ginger note. Strong carbonated feel. Tasty, refreshing, and very interesting.

Poured from the can into a nonic pint glass.

Pale to orange amber body color, slightly hazy looking a bit though, with very fine carbonation. Head is a good dollop of cascading bright white color. Real nice tall three finger with ease creamy top and good bubbly retention.

Aroma is very pleasant. Spicy ginger root, a bit of marmalade like sweetness as well. Mild warmth and minimal beer character but a very solid one note that doesn't come off like soda either.

Palate actually pulls off some surprises. First sip is quite peppery and tangy, with hot ginger and then a very good bitter hop action. Hits with ginger and pine in the mid palate, with a simple malt presence. Moderate carbonation and a good backbone that's relatively neutral and supportive. Excellent almost oily and hop bitter blasting finish that is accentuated by ginger spice.

Very different take and I can see this as an almost radler like replacement, and a step in a different direction from your pale ale. Only criticism is that it's beer character is pretty negligible.

A: Yellow in color with a white head.

S: Ginger and citrus hops. The ginger takes most of the aroma.

T: Ginger, as well as some grapefruit peel hops. Bitterness isn't too high, but it's a little more prevalent in the finish.

M: Medium light in body, with fairly assertive carbonation.

O: Overall interesting, but not amazing.

Not a bad summertime brew. Pours a slightly hazy bright gold color with a small white head (hard pour). Head retention is minimal and only bits of spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is ginger and a little citrus hops. Pleasant but not that impressive. Taste is more of the same. The ginger is there but fairly subtle. a nice balance between citrus hops and malts (both mild). Glad to see that the ginger did not overpower the rest of the beer. Mouthfeel is a bit light but crisp with just the right amount of ginger flavoring. There are much more flavorful APAs out there but this is not bad with an interesting use of ginger. I would drink a few of these on a warm day.
