Presentation: Sampled at the Main Street Casino, Brewery and Hotel during a recent Sunday Afternoon visit to Las Vegas. Dispensed from one of the 4 Taps at the Main Bar that overlooks the Slot Machines Floor and served in a straight sided Pint Glass. Cost less than $2 for a Pint.
Appearance: The amber red colored body is easily visible as this Lager is poured. The head was lively when poured but it soon settled quickly to a thin off-white covering. It either looked over-lively or a little under-conditioned at times.
Nose: Definitely fresh, and the malts come through, but the nose is a little reticent to appear at times.
Taste: The initial kick to the beer is of hops, and it stays through to the middle of the beer when lightly toasted malts take the relay baton and begin to balance the hops. The finish has a lovely crisp malt finish. Short ending that does not last too long.
Mouthfeel: The high carbonation I encountered in the first mouthful was prickly and over-stayed its welcome. Once the Red settled it was then fine and the carbonation aided the crisp feel in the mouth. Malts at the back end are welcome but are all too short lived.
Drinkability: Its a clean tasting beer with a lovely hops first - malt later bias that I enjoy. Crisp, slick lines that sometimes are upended by the wavering carbonation levels but thats a minor beef really. The alcohol level of 4.5% is just right, and will also help those at the Slots keep a level head no doubt.
Overall: I enjoyed the Red, much more than the Gold, but not as much as the Pale Ale or Porter. The taste profile of hops then malts and the reasonably clean drinking make this an above average offering well worth trying.

22oz draught at the brewpub.
Appearance: Deep reddish amber, clear, nice lace.
Aroma: Malty sweet without too much sweetness.
Taste: A decent Vienna lager, with lots of rich malt flavour with just the right amount of rich sweetness, balanced out nicely with a spicy hop bite. Unfortunately, there is some generic nuttiness that also comes through and is not a favourite attribute of mine. Nevertheless, tasty.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, crisp, moreish.
Drinkability: Well worth trying. Nice to have a nice big beer at a modest abv.
