Went 3:30 p.m. on a Saturday.

Walk in and you are suddenly transported to a wonderful beer bar [where you can forget that you are in the rather dingy downtown].

Very nice atmosphere. Large hall with very high ceilings. Lots of tables. Brick walls. Ber kettles, etc. are behind glass encircling the far end of the hall. About 10 TV's around the whole place. Bar sits around 20 people. Whole place can probably seat hundreds.
I really liked the whole feel of the place.

They had 4 standard beers [high roller gold, marker pale ale, royal red lager & blackchip porter] and one brewmaster special [black cherry stout]. In the menu, they provided nice descriptions and information about each beer. Beer was very reasonably priced:
16 oz. $2.95
23 oz. $3.50]
Sampler of 5 5oz. beers was $4.95. Served on a nice circular wooden tray with each beer labeled.
Happy hour is from 3-6p.m., M-F. Food specials and 16 oz. is $2

Food: large menu to choose from and reasonably priced. We had the Soup/Sandwhich $6.95 & nachos grande $7.25. Large portions. Both were good.

Service was fine. Waitress seemed to be rather busy...constantly running around [and spilling beer!!].

Overall, I highly recommend this place. Nice atmosphere, good beer, decent food and very reasonably priced. I may even stay at MSS next time so I can stop by more frequently. (1,358 characters)

I've been going to Triple 7 for years, long before I fully got into craft beer. Either my palate has improved or their quality has gone down over time (maybe a bit of both), but I don't enjoy their beer as much as I used to. However, I do still come here for food, especially the pizza, and this is my favorite place to eat after a night of drinking and gambling downtown. I wouldn't make a trip here just for the beer, but I would for the food. Of course I will get a beer or three while I'm here. (498 characters)

Ended up searching a bit for this place, but was worth it. Just outside of Glitter Gulch, but surprising how busy it got. We arrived just before the dinner rush, and it was quickly lined up 30-40 people. The beers were delicious and decent selection. They had a lager, that I felt was average, but a great idea for a microbrewery, as I find non beer people often don't enjoy the offerings. As I continued up the flight into the darker and more flavorful beers they got better. Stout was my favorite of the night and the food was excellent. Service was lacking a little and could have sold me an extra pint or two had the waitress been more attentive, but still would recommend this place to any beer fans visiting Vegas (719 characters)

The best place to enjoy beer in the down town area. The restaurant is a large, with Vegas/Victorianesque and glass decor. Large and comfortable with lots of TVs. A great place to linger to avoid gambling losses. They always have a great selection of fresh brews. On my last visit they had a Vanilla/Blueberry Hefeweisen. A purist would would turn up his nose, but the strength of American breweries is their willingness to experiment. The banana of the hefe was complimented nicely by the sweet nose of vanilla and gentle tang of blueberry. I loved it..all four! I also had the Hawaiian burger, a popular item given that some many visitors to the Main Street Casino are from Hawaii. (682 characters)
