Bottled on 9/28/13.

Pours a very clear copper/honey with two fingers white head that doesn't lace very well considering it's a DIPA. Lots of pine with tropical fruit, mostly mango, sweet malt that has a pixy stick. After a while the malt comes out, reminding me of biscuits and honey. The flavor starts with mild biscuit malt, with immediate bitterness. The hop flavors also come out but they're much less pronounced. The bitterness is strong and lingering, nearly to the point of annoyance. The feel is light and the finish dry.

The aroma is out of this world, but the flavor doesn't match. Still a great beer that I'll look out for as long as I can get it fresh.

Poured a gorgeous clear copper with a fluffy finger and a half of white head. As the head recedes it leaves stick lacing down the glass. An excellent look for a DIPA. Scents of citrus, grapefruit pith, pineapple, tropical fruit and peach. An excellent, enticing, lovely smelling scent. Flavor begins with a bit of caramel malt and a big hit of hop bitterness. There is a bit of grapefruit pith, some herbal and floral flavors, and some pine. Finish is resinous and bitter, with some malt sweetness, with a very bitter aftertaste. There is a bit of alcohol warmth throughout and the sweetness is present throughout the sip. A very nice, balanced DIPA that combines sweetness with intense bitterness quite nicely. The hop flavors are also complex, running a gamut of different flavors. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and sticky with low carbonation. Quite easy to drink because of this. This is a good DIPA, it's balanced between bitter hop flavors and sweetness. It's quite easy to drink and well worth trying.
