An American Double India Pale Ale that packs a punch when it comes to hops. The aroma and flavors will give you citrus and pine with a slight malt sweetness that finishes dry.

Dated 1/28/14. 22oz bottle poured into a tulip. Pours copper with a slight haze; fluffy eggshell white head that leaves great lacing and retention. The aromas are full of tropical and citrus notes. Lots of orange zest and fresh clementines. The malts are there. There's also a sweet caramel aroma. There's a bit of a alcohol scent that can be noticed in the nose, but barely. The flavors are on the sweeter side, but there's a very solid bitterness. More fresh orange. The grapefruit is starting to really come through. There's a solid malt backbone with more caramel shining. There's subtle garlic notes in the finish. Juicy brew. The more I drink it, the more I'm picking up pineapple in the finish. Mouthfeel is very nice. It's full-bodied with active carbonation. It's very creamy and smooth. The alcohol goes unnoticed and it's pretty easy to drink. Dangerously drinkable.

This is a pretty solid DIPA. It has alot of traditional characteristics and doesn't exactly standout as unique, but it's enjoyable. The craftsmanship is impressive. It's worth checking out if given the opportunity.

Bottle from Ranch Market in Yountville. Dated 11/30/13, so more age than expected on this when I bought it. Pours a hazy copper bronze color with a one finger white head on top. Bright hop citrus aroma, grapefruits, some pine, and big toffee malts backing it up. Flavor is malt forward with only a hint of dank hops in there, some mango, grapefruit, and more toffee and malts. Crap, wish I checked the date on this. Resinous and heavy mouthfeel, medium carbonation. Overall not bad but really wish I found this fresher.

A: Pours a translucent golden/honey color with a tan head.

S: Tropical fruit, papaya, fresh orange juice and zest, citrus peel and a little pineapple in the nose.

T: Taste is more floral with some bitter pine and citrus peel, a little orange zest, kiwi, and a touch of tropical fruit in the finish.

M: Medium bodied and slightly less than average carbonation for an IPA.

O: While the flavors themselves are good, something about the taste was just a bit off. I'd recommend it, but it's not as good as it sounds.
