Look is clear light amber, with orange and golden highlights. A huge dirty white head forms and leaves spotty lacing, and dissipated rather slowly.
Smells of grapefruit and orange flesh, with an almost minty herbal spicy aroma. Delightful.
Taste is citrussy, bitter, both are big flavors, and prevalent throughout the taste. A bit of the malt comes through in the middle, and is gone right when it should be. Good balance, and great flavor.
Texture is nice, not too thick nor cloying. A good punch, and some booze in the feel, but not much sting or heat. Very crisp and drinkable for >10%.
I haven't like too many from this brewery to date, but this is stellar. One of the best DIPA's I have had this year. Flavor is huge, but balanced, and is very drinkable.

Amber colored with decent head retention and lacing for its strength. Dank, pungent aroma thick with green, spicy hops, herbs, scallions, butterscotch, mango, passion fruit, and toffee. A big hoppy burst greets the senses right away, followed by a substantial toasted malt backing. Honey, grapefruit, mango, resin, and caramel. Boozy alcohol smothered by bitterness, malty sweet under the hops, and warming…American Barleywine territory. Not a great finish – a little too hot and sticky. Rather heavy, textured, and bitter. That, in addition to being somewhat under-carbonated hurts the drinkability. Oh boy…I really wanted to like this one, but it’s just too sticky and brash to be all that enjoyable. Not bad, just disappointing and overrated.
