Pretty solid TIPA in comparison to the others in the style.
Let's start with the positives.
Freaking drinkable, might I say "sessionable"??
Only others this easy to drink above 10% for me are Younger & Terrepin Hopzilla Side Project 12. Yes, a wee bit boozy at times but way less than you'd expect for the ABV. Malt is there but as a sideshow.
Appearance - Bright orange, clear & 1" head that subdues quite quickly. Active in the Guinness Perfect Pint Glass I poured it in. (I find Tulips take away from the resinous character I love in IPAs/DIPAs)
Smell - Aroma is solid without being overly perfumey. Mangos, Pineapple, Oranges and ripe Banana. Sugar cookie biscut malt backbone. Only thing getting in the way of a better score is the hop "sweat" smell I get, and I'm guessing it's from the Citra Hops. Similar to Knee Deep's single hop Citra Pale Ale. Unpleasant in the Pale Ale, very tolerable in SIMTRA.
Taste - All the same as the nose with a nice pine finish found in many of the highly rated West Coast IPAs / DIPAs.
Mouthfeel - Best aspect of the beer. Crisp, easy drinking, dry and bitter finish. Overly sticky malt "about" non-existent. Opposite from Ruination 10...a second bomber wouldn't be hard to polish off if you have a tolerance.
Overall - A hophead's must try. Very well crafted TIPA.

5 Days Stale: Open Bottle Review
I decided to test Simtra --a class-A beer-- to an unfairly interesting review. I left the bottle absentmindedly open for five days, and for science thought it worth drinking.
Pour: Mild frothy amber, no lacing.
Smell: Rusty, sweet.
Mouth feel: Unpleasantly flat
Taste: Alcoholic, pleasant mild hops.
Finish: Distinctive pine trait: Cali simco hops.
Overall impression: the history behind India Pale Ales holds true; excessive hops (this is a triple IPA) = ageable & resiliently resistant beer. Taste and accessibility be damned, old stale hoppy beer with this caliber behind it makes for some goddamn tasty grog.
