Appearance is crystal clear orange red color with zero head. ( I think my cap was loose)
Aroma is massive hops and pine.
Flavor is sticky pine, sme grapefruit and citrus.
Not super complex or balanced but somehow a good beer.
Mouthfeel is not bitter or dry, just right it's no lingering flavors. The carbonation is terrible (be sure it wasnt sealed)
My bottle may not be the best example for a review but its still damn good.
With the right carbonation this beer is great.

This is one of my favorite go to brews.. Pretty odd this is my first review, but here goes...

A- Golden color, nice head, and very little carbonation.

S- This has a great smell to it. Lots of pine, citrus, and some grapefruit in there as well. You can definitely smell the hops.

T- Very smooth for being 11.25 %. You definitely taste the hops (with it being a triple and all), there is some booze in the taste, and you do get some bitterness but it is in no way overpowering.

M- Again, very smooth. The aftertaste (bitterness, booze) stays for a bit, but it never seems to bother me.

O- This is a great brew. I am glad I can get this easily. If you can get your hands on this, please do. You will not be disappointed.

I love Knee Deep Beers and this is my favorite

Serving Type-Bottle

Appearance- Great golden color almost like liquid gold tons of alcohol legs

Smell- very piney like a great Triple IPA should be, tons of floral notes, citrus, pine needles

Taste-Bitter but in a great IPA way, a little booze but considering its 11.25% ABV I totally under stand that.

Mouth Feel- Smooth not to viscous

Overall- one of the best IPA's around and is very available where I live

An excellent IPA by Knee Deep Brewing Co. It's a smooth IPA with a beautiful tail end. I was very impressed with the Simtra. I personally feel that the Hoptologist was better. I am very glad that I found this gem in my local Nugget grocery store. Very good choice in IPA.

Bomber into a tulip glass, produced a nice three fingers of bubbly white head, pretty solid retention and lacing. Colour is a fairly clear dark orange brown. Pretty dark but a nice colour. 4.25
S – umm is it hops? Big aromas of ripe grapefruit, mouthwatering citrus and sweet pine, some toffee sweetness and a salivating filling huge citrus character, orange, Citra hops all the way. Punchy and great, with a bit of bitter funk. 4.5
T – tons of Citra hops, more grapefruit, a bit more subtle pine notes, boozey citrus fruit, macerated blood oranges, dries out to a herbally bitter finish. Boozey hop xmas cake, raisins, cranberry, dry pine needles, and a crisp dryness on the finish against the lingering hop character. Prickly bitterness, raging citrus and subtle boozy graininess all together. Some red fruits develop nicely, the bitterness is contrasted with plenty of juicy fleshy fruits and smooth dark woody/boozy complexity that is wonderful. 4.5
M – amazing if the abv is 11.25 this drinks much lighter and smoother, a huge profile, the bitterness is really punchy with lots of citrus rind, but is nicely balanced and surprisingly refreshing. Light/moderate carbonation (could use a touch more?) with a slickness on the finish that isn’t overly harsh but sticks around for a long lingering herbal aftertaste that goes on and on. Calls you for another sip almost immediately. 4.5
Wow, maybe I’m in a good mood but this was one of the finer high-strength IPA’s I can remember having. Retains a solid drinkability where you have to watch out, and the complexity I found to be really good, as well the bitterness wasn’t out-of-control, tons of complex citrus character with a balanced strength and a pleasant lingering finish. Highly Recommended.
