A - Nice near white thick head, slow to leave. Lots of lace. Dark clear amber. Looks good.
S - Hoppy, the cat pee variety. It's smelling pretty tasty.
T - Taste does not match smell and appearance completely. A little muted. More malty than hoppy.
M - High medium body, good carb, fair balance.
D - A very nice IPA.

A - Copper colored, a bit darker than most. Definitely filtered, good activity in the glass and solid head and head retention.
S - Grassy and earthy first, Cat piss without any citrus component to add. If 3.0 is "average" I'm being generous here...
T - Like sipping tree bark without any IPA citrus to add.
M - Very clean, Crisp, and pleasantly bitter, but not overly bitter. If there were any more flavor in this beer, the mouthfeel would be great.
O - I'm SOLD on fresh SIMTRA & Hop Shortage. Knee Deep really knows how to brew top notch Triple IPAs without a doubt. GOD DAMN, after gems like those, I've no clue why they've let this beer out in a bottle to represent their art. I had 5 different home brew IPAs from generous campers at Boonville recently, that just blow this one out of the water. In the realm of today's IPA offerings, I'm assuming that I won't revisit this one.

Into a half liter glass. Poured three fingers of head on a clear, dark amber colored body with lots of bubbles.
The aroma is incredible. Lots of bright grapefruit and Meyer lemons.
The taste from start to finish has a solid dry bitterness. It has a little pine and grapefruit. Really dry though.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
This is an IPA straight up without any apologies.

A: poured into a duvel tulip to a light orange with a finger of dense slightly off white head that retains well
S: smells of tropical fruits, some pine and a bit of grapefruit rind. An underlying sweetness can be found throughout the nose.
T: bitter pine and citrus with some faint tropical fruit flavor, slight caramel sweetness along with some herbal and oily hop resin flavor. aftertaste is a bit earthy and slightly piney with the slightest amount of sweetness
M: you can feel the bitterness on the tongue but the beer is on the light side of medium with decent carb that starts off prickly and then subsides. after the swallow there is a lingering bitterness and slight oiliness from the hops
O: Overall Knee Deep knows their way around an IPA and I'm very impressed with this one. From every angle this beer can go toe to toe with any of the greats
