On cask at Mad Fox. Pours a very dark brown with a thin tan head. The nose has chocolate, a bit of spice, and a bit of dark malt. Flavor has really nice chocolate and a bit of spice and heat through the finish. Mole is fantastic. Bit of cinnamon. Medium body. Low carbonation. Quite tasty.

Off the menu cask at brewpub of their Reynard saison with mole spices (Yes, it has a different name).
Pours a still, dark cola brown with a slight ruby tinge and a thin light tan head that fades to a thin collar and a few dots of lace. Nose is pure mole sauce, light chocolate and smooth spicy heat with trace earthy saison yeast. Flavor is initially chocolate sweet with a building heat that peaks in the finish, peppery and dry. The base black saison is apparent only in the earthy and yeasty background, but much less smoke and roast than the draft Reynard. Medium thick, smooth and syrupy body. Amazing how the mole spice suppressed all the things I didn't like about the base beer and kept the traditional saison flavors. Probably over spiced but a fun oddity.
