500ml bottle dated 02/2014 picked up two weeks ago.
A- Poured from the 500ml bottle to a snifter with a hazy, bright golden yellow body. Haze must be from wheat and the yeast sediment. Creamy white cap to about a finger with decent retention. Lacing starts with some webs and ends spotty.
S- Stone fruits and citrus are the main aspect of the aroma for me and they must come from both the end boil hops and the 100% Brett fermentation. Juicy. Citrus zest, tangerine, grassy, floral and hay notes. Just a slight funk.
T- Hoppy but not a hop bomb or over the top with them. Hops and Brett together produce fruity notes with a profile of citrus zest, orange, lemon, tangerine, floral, pine and spicy tones. Very slight funk of barnyard and hay but subtle. Wheat crust and a light grainy feel round it all out.
MF- Medium-dry body with a light-moderately thick consistency. Carbonation at a medium-high level with some bite. Smooth bitterness in the finish.
Balance and alchemy of flavors here. The wheat, Brett and hops all bounce off of each other well and sometimes it is hard to pick out exactly where some of the flavors come from. Smooth and very refreshing.

500 mL bottle poured into a snifter.
Appearance - Slightly hazy. Small white head. Thin collar.
Smell - Citrus hops. Doughy malts. A bit of grain. Minimal brett, if at all.
Taste - Bright citrus. Orange and lemon. Sweet malts. A little bit of brett in the taste. Grainy wheat. Lingering lemony sweetness.
Mouthfeel - Easy drinking with some sweetness. Medium carbonation.
Overall - Very nice. Doesn't necessarily stand up to other Hill Farmstead IPAs, though.

Drank side by side with the Mikkeller version, provided by Bob, at his tasting.
Pours a golden, pale, hazy yellow, with a fizzy one inch head, and a little bit of lacing down the glass.
Smells a lot less funky than the aged Mikkeller version, with more grassiness, pine, and citrus hops on the nose.
The taste is similar. Some mild funk is noted, a little bit of hay, with some juicy hop flavors- lemon and orange, with some grassiness.
Light bodied, crisp, spritzy mouthfeel. High carbonation. Very drinkable.
The better of these two versions- not sure if Grassroots version is better, or this is a beer better drank fresh.

An interesting hoppy yet smooth brew. Creamy feel, with lots of carbonation. Alcohol seems fairly present, but still goes down in refreshing way. I enjoyed this more as it warmed. Mild spiciness and very mild wheat tastes, including banana. Very enjoyable.
