Collaboration with Kissmeyer Beer & Brewing
Crafted at Hill Farmstead Brewery with our friend Anders Kissmeyer of Kissmeyer Brewing, this blonde ale was brewed with chamomile and lemongrass and then aged in wine barrels for 10 months.
It represents the fondness of memory, the satisfaction of great effort and the joy of great results.

Poured from the bottle into a Teku
L: Surprisingly clear light golden pour. 1.5 fingers of white head. Falls fast.... good rim of lacing.
S: Tart and a bit funky. Lemongrass/citrus, herbal/medicinal notes, and spice.
T/F: Light grain presence. Subtle tartness... not sour but zesty. Lemongrass/citrus for sure. Mid sip the chamomile comes in... complements things very nicely. Spicy/herbal. Some tang and oak from the barrel... almost a chardonnay feel. Really complex. Medium to light in body. Well carbonated, even at 3+ years. Finish is fruity/citrus and spice.
O: Complex, refined, and fantastic. Not surprisingly this is very reminiscent of some Hill Farmstead offerings... in the same vein as their Saisons and just wonderful. A happy sipper... well earned after a hard day of work in the yard.

The beer is pale yellow, fairly cloudy. White head. The aroma has a lot of lemongrass with some vinous barrel flavor. Mildly sweet taste. Fruit, herbs and fresh grain flavors. Fairly dry finish with some more barrel character. Soft flavor and feel. Solid beer that I had never even heard of before a friend brought it to a tasting.

Bottle date 3/2014. Snifter.
A: Pours a hazy lemon-yellow with a thin white head.

M: Medium body, light, greasy, clean mouthfeel. Very smooth. Low and soft carb. Buttery.
O: Delicate overall. Very soft flavored. Chamomile with a touch of bitter lemongrass.
