The beer is hazy and golden with a thick, white head. The aroma offers lemons, farmhouse funk, grape skins. Mild acidity with some citrus notes, floral and herbal notes as well. Light to medium in body. A touch of earth and some lemon rind counter a mild sweetness. Tasty.

Pour is slightly hazed golden amber with a foamy white head. Nose has lots of farmhouse yeast notes with fruity esters. Some lemon and white grape skins. Hints of caramel malt play in faintly. Taste is a bit more sweet, farmhouse yeast up front, soft body, caramel and sweet esters. Fruity and lemony notes play in back with moderate carb and a semi dry finish. Stronger farmhouse notes come out as it warms giving a nice balance and depth.

750 mL bottle poured into a snifter. Reviewed from notes.
Appearance - Big head. Great retention. Chunky surface foam. Mostly clear amber body.
Smell - Bretty. Lemony acidity. Earthy notes from the brett. Bready malts.
Taste - Bready malts and some tang from the brett. Lemony. Grainy malt and a little caramel.
Mouthfeel - Well carbonated. Easy drinking. Medium light body.
Overall - Good saison characteristics, but nothing extraordinary. The light tanginess keeps it interesting.

Notes taken yesterday at Blackback in Waterbury, VT. Still plenty of great beers flowing after the madness of Saturday.
A- Mid amber body poured from taps to a HF tulip snifter. Hazy yeast throughout and a foamy white cap with good retention. Small island and tiny ring with no lace.
S- Brett cherry and band aid, lemony tart citrus, vinous grape and stone fruit in a fruity funky aroma. Herbal tea comes to mind with some Saison yeast aspects.
T- Lemony lactic tartness rides flavors of white grape, apple, stone fruits, lemon and orange zest, cherry pits and cracked grains. Yeasty pepper, slight spicy herbal Saison notes with a bit of funk.
Mf- Dry light end body with silky, fizzy texture. Tartness throughout while carbonation is medium and smooth.
For me a nice light funk and medium tart with an apple and grape fruity vinous feel. Crisp and easy to drink.
