With more and more saisons taking on the rustic and ancient type of sourness, that high acidity can be quite polarizing and off-putting to some. However the delicate use of hibiscus, flower and herb gives this sourish farmhouse ale a friendlier and more jovial approach.

And that approachable side starts with the beer's beautiful faint ruby glow that caps with a soapy swath of foam. Tangy fruit aromas set the tide as the scent apple cider, rose wine, corkish must and white grape. Its sharply acidic taste easily overcomes the short backbone of wafer-thin breadiness and slight confectioner's sugar.

With its malt character continuing to recede and the fruit, flower and sourness gaining further control, the body also ascends on dryness for a decidedly wine-like middle. Peps of rice-wine vinegar, crabapple, lemon sourness and limey bitterness come to play delicately on the finish. All the while, an aura of flowery bouquet wafts above the palate and act in more retro-olfactry fashion.

Its light and dry body sides with wine as much as beer as its finish of white pepper and acidity pop with effervescence and highlight the beer's floral and fauna as much in texture as it does in taste, buffered only by light velvety slickness of flower pedal. An aftertaste of wheat returns to usher the rose and hibiscus character into a pleasant afterglow.

The color of this beer is like a full fledge hot and ready porno film. The feel is absolutely amazing. The taste is perfection when it hits the tongue. The finish is like a orgy in the shire off gondor

A: Hazy golden beer with a touch of red accent. A nice small white head.
S: Smells of hibiscus. Very floral, peppery and citrus (orange/lemon) followed by the classic earthy saison yeast. Lots of citrus actually, smells a bit lactic.
T: Sweet malts and hibiscus tea flavors at first. Has a bit of lemon acidity that blends well with the sweetness. Has a sweet, almost honey-like flavor blended with some fruitiness that is imparted by the hibiscus. Bright floral flavors follow until it ends with a dry and crisp lemony tartness.
M: Light bodied with low carbonation. Very drinkable.
O: This is another excellent saison from HF/Grassroots. Very nice beer, hope they make it again soon.

Thanks, baconsausage!

Glowing golden and orange. Persistent but not a huge near-white head of moderately-sized bubbles. A sticky saison. Slight haziness, especially on the later pours. All in all, this is quite pretty and very appropriate for the style.

Fantastic aroma. Huge amounts of white fruit and citrus components in the aroma: lemon and lime, mild orange, and good amounts of pear, and a little bit of sour apple. Mild funk, earth, and just a bit of a dried grass character, but the lemon and lime component with the citrus element is the highlight of this beer's aroma. It reminds me quite a bit of a Fantome offerings and many Crooked Stave examples, which are both very good things in my book.

The flavor is just as good as the aroma. Wonderful balance of citrus and white fruit flavors with an interesting, earthy, grassy yeast, and just a tiny bit of malt. Just a bit of biscuit. Complete, incredibly flavors.

Medium bodied with moderate to near-high carbonation.

Fantastic. I've enjoyed this more and more each time I've tried it. If anyone wants to send me more, feel free to contact me lol.

Large shared bottle in Atlanta.
Beautiful, lightly hazy, reddish body with a very good white head.
Overly funky aroma is not appealing. This returns in the aftertaste but, for the most part, the flavor is modestly appealing.
