A- Pours a clean lemon color with bright golden accents shimmering in the light. A formidable white head of about 2 fingers lingers for just a bit. Lacing does more than its share to coat the edges.

s- Some musky, funky notes accompanied by the lime and cracker like malts. Slightly herbal/floral and dense pulp character. More delicate than aggressive on the nose.

T- Dang...this thing shot off in a whole different direction that I was expecting. Much more intense flavor profile than the nose led me to believe. Earthy malts come at me first, then give way to a powerful bouquet of citrus waves that never want to end, and I'm glad they don't. So much lemon and lime. Salty sour tartness is so spot on!

M- Mild and refreshing. Perfect for chilling on a hot summer day here in KC. The tartness is mouthwatering with each sip, but the abv doesn't make you pay for succumbing to its demands to keep tipping it back.

O- While I wasn't blown away by the aroma, the flavor unreal. Possibly the best sour saison I have had.

$12 for a 750 ml bottle

*Best saison that I have ever had. I have not had many though. I tend to grade saisons low, even if they are pretty good just because there always seems to be a watery void in the middle; and they just seem simple. This one does not fit

A- Pours one-finger white cloud head with medium retention down to a large lacing ring with slow legs.

S- Lime zest for the most part, some orange peel. There is some honey that I am getting as well in the nose. Musty, earthy funk background.

T- Nice tart citrus follows a perfectly balanced earthy hay backbone. The citrus sticks around for a long time, and that is what makes this saison stand out from the rest. The very refreshing summertime citrus lingers for minutes. Very impressed with how this beer was crafted!

M- Very smooth, pretty creamy. The carb is in great proportions to let the citrus pop along with the carb.

O- This is an extremely well done saison! Thanks so much Stevedore for this one! You are an amazing BA!!

Served from a 750ml bottle into a HF Stemmed tulip glass. Dated 10-2013.

Appearance- Pretty orange/pink color with some light haze and half finger bubbly white head that disappeared quickly.

Smell- Grapefrit, blood orange, lemon, lime, HF funk, light cherry-like presence, mild vinegar qualities. Very nice.

Taste- Same fruits as mentioned above, mild wheaty quality, light lemon/lime tartness, green apple, light berry presence, and rustic HF funk.

Mouthfeel- Well carbonated, very light body, light tartness, superbly drinkable.

Overall- Another obviously good HF beer. Reminds me of Anna with the addition of fruit. Great summer thirst quencher.
