Fills the glass with a nice cloudy dark orange body and a big white head. Aroma is heavy on the lime notes at first. Sweeter orange notes give a juicy character to it as well.
The lime and citrus flavors give this beer almost a soda-like quality (think Sprite) in the first sip but the underlying saison adds a whole lot more. With each sip you go from sweet to tart and sour and back. The lime, blood orange, and hibiscus flavors all play a roll here. A spicy and earthy yeast note becomes more noticeable as well and really helps round it all out.
Mouthfeel is crisp and drying. Overall, a tasty twist on one of my favorite styles. It may be a bit heavy on the lime at times, but on a hot summer day I could see this being a great refreshing beverage.

A- Pours a clean lemon color with bright golden accents shimmering in the light. A formidable white head of about 2 fingers lingers for just a bit. Lacing does more than its share to coat the edges.
s- Some musky, funky notes accompanied by the lime and cracker like malts. Slightly herbal/floral and dense pulp character. More delicate than aggressive on the nose.
T- Dang...this thing shot off in a whole different direction that I was expecting. Much more intense flavor profile than the nose led me to believe. Earthy malts come at me first, then give way to a powerful bouquet of citrus waves that never want to end, and I'm glad they don't. So much lemon and lime. Salty sour tartness is so spot on!
M- Mild and refreshing. Perfect for chilling on a hot summer day here in KC. The tartness is mouthwatering with each sip, but the abv doesn't make you pay for succumbing to its demands to keep tipping it back.
O- While I wasn't blown away by the aroma, the flavor unreal. Possibly the best sour saison I have had.
