Date: 4/14/14
Location: Hill Farmstead Brewery
Glassware: Tulip
Appearance: Straw like in color with an off white head that is about a pinky's width in size. Very nice cascading as the beer is consumed and some of the head remains throughout.
Aromatics: A very earthy grassy smell to it. Tropical Fruits, lemons, orange, pine apple almost all strong like rinds. A very slight touch buttery.
Flavor: The flavor is milder then the smell. Get way more of the lemons which makes it all taste very clean Still some of that grass a little bit of the pine. A little bready on the tongue but I think it helps to lighten the beer with the lemons.
Mouthfeel: Very light and refreshing. Amazingly drinkable. I could drink this all day.
Notes: Served from 750 ml HF growler. Bottled 4/9/14. Drink by 4/19/14.

2L growler filled at Hill Farmstead 2 days ago.

Appearance - Very pale yellow with some haze. Realllly light color, especially for an IPA. A billowy white head retains at a half-finger easily, good lacing as well.

Smell - All about those citrusy hops, lots of orange, grapefruit, general tropical, some dank and cat pee going on as well. Sugar cookie malt definitely there mostly hops. Quite nice.

Taste - Citrus hops still dominate - orange, peach, grapefruit, lemon, tropical - but a good amount of grass and some resin as well, some Nelson Sauvin-like flavors. Some biscuit and sugar cookie malt, maybe some of those oats showing through.

Mouthfeel - Definitely on the lighter side, carbonation is a bit on the high side, but it all works well here. Medium-high bitterness while still having a decent malt balance. Pretty drinkable.

Overall - Awesome hop flavor, with some tasty malts to boot - the tropical citrus biscuit combo strikes again!. I loved the lighter feel for it too, this drinks like its 5%. Wound up drinking ~40 oz. of this myself without much of a problem. Definitely holds its own against the best HF IPAs while doin' its own thang.

Poured from growler obtained at the brewery yesterday 4/12/14

A: Light, hazy, golden yellow. Small head that fades rather quickly leaving slight lacing.
S: Lemony citrus with fresh hops. Slight maltiness.
T: You get predominantly a lemon/orange/citrus punch. The hops are there, but not on the forefront. I tend to like very citrusy brews so I really enjoy this.
M: Really good and well balanced. Exactly what I was expecting.
O: Great overall IPA and worth seeking out if you're a huge fan of citrus forward IPA's.

Cloudy, yellow-gold and apricot colouring.

Predominantly sweet citrus and grassy scents with an earthy/piney spice on the nose.

Sweet citrus, grapefruit-like flavour up front is met with hoppy bitterness and spice, balanced very well with the malts. I might like to see a little more malt there - as the body is slightly thin - although the remaining hops and sweetness help compensate. This is a traditional IPA after all, and brings full attention to the fantastic hop flavour.

Pour is hazed pale yellow with a tight white head. Nose is mango, citrus, and grapefruit extremely strong. Faint touch of pine and herbal hop. Taste is not as fruity and bright as the nose. Taste has a hint of malt up front, lightly toasted. Hops take over, more grapefruit and less tropical fruit. Light herbal tea hop in back with a moderate bitterness in the finish. Well carbonated and soft body.
