Having this one from a growler, but I also had it straight from the tap at the brewery and 3rd anniversary party.

Pours a vibrant gold with a surprising amount of fluffy white head to have been poured from a growler. A good bit of lacing remains on the side of the glass as i work my way through.

The aroma is filled with citrusy bitterness.. the focus is on orange, but I also get some bitter grapefruit rind and some slight hints of bready malt.

The flavor is loaded with fresh sweet orange with a mild crystal malt background with a resinous bitterness in the finish. This is by far the most "citrus" flavor I've ever gotten from an IPA.

The mouthfeel is a little light and the carbonation has faded in the growler even though it's only 2 days old. Carbonation was stronger straight from the tap, though. It leaves a nice slightly bitter aftertaste that lingers for awhile.

If you want citrus, this is a great choice in IPA. I really enjoyed how the orange came through in the flavor and not just the aroma. Another superb effort from our friends in Vermont.

750ml growler poured into a Noda snifter.

A~ glowing light orangey yellow. definitely resembles a mimosa. nice flowing white head and a lot of lacing all the way down.

S~ lots of tangerine, followed by a nice amount of pine and hop bitterness on the finish.

T~ takes a slight spin off course, first you get some fresh cut grass which then tastes like it was marinaded in a crazy citrus infusion of tangerines, lemons, oranges, and clementines. more earthyness on the finish, pine, grass, and a little hay. of course leaving which seems like a citra hop bitterness on the palet.

M~ very smooth, crisp, and refreshing. nice carbonation and a tad dry from the hops.

O~ really nice, well balanced IPA. great for a hot day like today. definitely worth a try but i wouldn't put it in my top 10 or anything... especially after having Mag 7 last night haha
