12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass.
A - Clear, sickly, light copper color. Moderate amount of white colored head. Average retention.
S - Pale malt aroma. Mild breadiness.
T - Weakly caramel malt flavor accompanied by some unpleasant light tanginess that lingers in your mouth. Unlike the description, I tasted no "hint of hops".
M - Average carbonation. Light to medium bodied. Way too watery.
D - It is drinkable in the same way that bud light is drinkable: it tastes like a mildly flavored water. I would avoid drinking this beer unless the other option is a light beer.

Small head that settles to a film of fine bubbles. Good lattice-like lace. Clear and neutrally amber.
For the smell, a cross between Malto, the Hispanic soft drink, and a lightly hopped Amber ale.
While I know this is a "honey" amber, it's way too sweet. It's as if the malt wasn't fermented. This is sweeter than most barley wines, but it doesn't have the alcoholic presence. I'm afraid that I'll be dumping this one.

Thanks to yankeepride for this one. Reviewed from notes. Poured from 12 oz. bottle into a Cigar City pint glass.
A: Pours a clear gold, with a thin white head. The head fades quickly over average visible carbonation.
S: Sweet bready malts, honey sweetness, a touch fruity esters. There's something here that reminds me almost of a lager. Very clean.
T: Malty, bready, some honey, with a hint of hop bitterness at the end. I'm still getting a touch of fruity esters here. Residual sweetness in the hang.
M: Light-bodied, with a decent amount of carbonation sensation and low alcohol presence.
O: There's not much here to get excited about. It's overall pretty sweet, and not a hop-forward amber at all. But I can't find any particular flaws, unless boring is a flaw. Nothing to refuse if offered, but nothing to seek out.

Pours a light amber in color, crystal clear, with a white foamy head, that showed some sticky side glass lace, and decent but not great retention.
Aroma; Not much here. Cold metal and earth, and a scent of sweet honey.
Taste: a little bit of roasted malts, and bread. Sweet up front from the honey. Mild citrus hops are faint.
Decent thirst quencher.

Pours a clear copper body with a small head with good retention. Aromas of wheat bread, lots of toastiness, and sweet butterscotch. All of these notes come through on the palate, which is super sweet from start to finish. There's a bit of a dead leafy hoppiness but it does not sufficiently balance the malts to make me want to reach for a second bottle. The "amber" label suggested something less sweet and more balanced than this beer delivered.

Light tan in color and with a honey- sweet, bready nose, this beer pours from its bottle with crystal clear clarity. The foam is okay at first, but plummets quickly. It still manages to leave a small amount of lace but the appearance is a little lackluster overall.
This beer has a flavor that follows its nose. There are tastes of honey, sweet grains, and some nuts. The hop component is difficult to pick out and the beer remains sweet from beginning to end. The taste keeps going back to that of honey and there is a certain adjunct flavor that cannot be dismissed.
Roscoe’s Hop House is a new brewery for me. I happen to catch a glimpse of a six pack at a local grocery store and, having never seen nor heard of this brand before, went ahead and grabbed a sixer. I’m a little torn on what I think of this beer because, while I like the taste of honey, there is an artificial character to this beer that I cannot shake off. I also feel that the filtering has been taken to extremes- the clarity is a little too much and I think it takes away from the beer’s potential.
Overall, this is an acceptable beer but not much more.

Roscoe's Hop House Amber Ale (2013) - 5.5% ABV. Golden honey hue with very active carbonation. Good head upon pour that reduces to strong lacing and hardy retention. Good hoppy ale smell with breaded malt and honey. Light mouthfeel. Quick tanginess on the front palate. Light notes of malt and nutty bread. Faint honey mid-palate. Very wet. Very faint. Back palate very little pronouncement. Extremely light. A slight hop aftertaste with a little more honey and bread. Almost green tea and honey like-- very strange. No real bite or flavor. Fairly disappointing. Very drinkable, but only because it's like water and not because there's something of enjoyable substance. 2.5 out of 5. Poor. Not recommended.
