Had this one on tap at Beechwood BBQ's Sour Fest on 8-26-09. The only information available on this one was that it was a "pale ale," and that was about it. It seems though that it was just spiked with brett.

The beer was a dark orange color with a thin coat of foam that exhibited good retention and lacing on the sides after each sip.

Urinal cake? That's what my buddy Ryan said it smelled like, at least when it was first brought to us. I'm not so sure about that. What I got most was a very floral aroma with some earthiness, brett funk, hints of citrus, oranges, and sweet lemon. A bit of sweet pale malt as it warmed up but the aroma was pretty consistent throughout, maybe a bit more floral as it warmed.

The taste was of pale malt with a floral hop flavor in the middle, and a leathery brett finish. More flavors of citrus, flowers, and a bit musty as well. Later on it started to turn a little cheesy in the finish. Not really sour at all, mostly dry and slightly funky. Odd malt sweetness and grainy flavors.

Moderate carbonation and quite smooth. Quite an interesting beer, worth trying.

....and the final sour beer I had at Beachwood BBQ earlier today. On to the beer:

Pale yellow/orange color. The beer has some tart green apples, a pinch of hops, and a pleasant tartness which echoes into the aftertaste. Very refreshing. It feels I went full circle with this beer, and this seemed very similar to Green Monster, the beer I started out with at Beachwood.
