22 oz bottle poured into a Sam Adams perfect pint shows off a partly cloudy/hazy deep orange brew with a foamy off-white head.

Smell is very strong malt. Like buscuits. Also oranges

The strong caramel malt base dominates the taste. Bready with a touch of citrus hops. Faint orange and grapefruit provide a touch of sourness. Smooth aftertaste.

On the heavier end body wise for a pale ale, but medium overall. Decent amount of carbonation.

Hop hunters are not going to be fighting for this one. Nothing elaborate, but just a very, very good, drinkable beer. Sometimes simplicity is a good thing. I would gladly take this over a SNPA. (639 characters)

Surprisingly bland....faint hops, lots of bread, and a yeast presence that seems off. An odd pale that just isn't all that enjoyable. (133 characters)

Poured from a 22 oz. bottle into a chalice.

Appearance: Pours a hazy golden orange with a moderate amount of bubbles. About one finger of off white head which settles into a thin patchy layer.

Smell: A juicy, floral, and earthy hop forward aroma with hints of citrus and grass. Citrus hops with hints of orange, lemon, grapefruit, apricot, and melon. Grassy hops along with some floral and piney hints. Pale malt with hints of caramel, grains, cracker, and yeast. A pretty nice aroma.

Taste: Like the aroma, a juicy and grassy hop forward taste with notes of citrus fruit and grass. Upfront citrus hops with notes of orange, grapefruit, lemon zest, apricot, and melon. Grassy and floral hops along with some pine. Pale malt with some notes of caramel, grains, biscuit, cracker, and yeast. A nice zesty taste.

Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied with a moderate level of carbonation. Crisp and juicy with a smooth finish.

Overall: A solid take on an American Pale Ale. Nicely juicy, grassy, and smooth. Not on the same level as PseudoSue but pretty solid. (1,062 characters)

Thanks to Jeff for this one. Always excited to try offerings from TG. 22oz bomber into a Darkness snifter.

Pours a thin, .5 finger frothy white head with moderate retention. Beer is a clear ruby red. Lacing is stringy, spotty and sticky. Decent.

Notes of pineapple, lychee, grapefruit and cane sugar. Very sweet. Moderately aromatic.

Opens pine resin, citrus, pineapple and lychee sweetness. Some dank resiny hop bitterness in the middle. Ends mildly tart with more grass, tea leaves and bark towards the end. Enjoyable.

Light bodied with ample carbonation. Lively and prickly in the mouth and goes down aggressive and crisp. Accented finish with a filmy aftertaste. Pretty good.

A very solid pale ale but I would've expected a little more out of TG. This has great balance but it doesn't have the huge citrus and tropical fruit character that I'm looking out for in a world class pale ale. (896 characters)
