Has a cloudy golden color, with a beautiful head about a finger thick.
The smell is full of fresh hops with a clear pine-cone flavor. Just a delightful smell.
This is a beer with attitude if I ever had one. The floral hops come out swinging as soon as the beer enters your mouth, and lingers for quite some time. This beer made my tongue tickle out of the taste sensation. Balance goes out of the window, but this is an extraordinary beer.

This beer revolutionized my tastebuds. Way back, when Ipa's intimidated me a bit this beer launched my IPA passion. Delicate compared to some, but with all/most of the qualities that make us love these beers. Not for West Coasters maybe. Mouthfeel, tropical fruit overtones, easy drinking by IPA standards. Classic. A first kiss (from a pretty girl) that I still reminisce over.

Canned on 12/22/21. 12oz can poured into a tulip.
Pours a hazy yellowish golden; small white head that fades leaving decent retention and lacing. It looks like your typical New England IPA.
The aromas have a subtle blend of floral, citrus and tropical notes. Malts are there.
The flavors basically follow the nose. Some pineapple, orange and grapefruit leading the way. Some fresh grass along with some damp grass. Subtle hints of pine. Solid bitterness. Subtle sweetness. Malts do their thing. Finishes juicy but very clean. Alcohol basically goes unnoticed.
Mouthfeel is very nice. It's medium-bodied with active carbonation. It's sharp, spritzy, crisp, smooth and slightly fluffy.
This is a solid New England IPA. It's not mindblowing or unique, but it's still enjoyable and well crafted. It's clean, crisp and refreshing. Not bad at all.

Something must have happened to this beer. I'm convinced of it because it was supposed to knock my socks off - and it's rated so highly! No date printed on can - maybe this one had been sitting on the shelf for too long? Pours a clearer golden color with just a touch of haziness, nice fluffy white head and some small rings of lingering lacing. Smells a little odd - sweeter pine and malt, a little bread and vanilla, very faint hoppiness. Odd. Tastes similarly, way too sweet and the piney hoppiness was so faint. Where was all the fruity citrus hops? Maybe the balance was off because it was too old. Mild thin mouthfeel, no stickiness, carbonation faded quickly. Almost reminded me of a malt-heavy lager. Not good, Toppling Goliath - and ordinarily I love your beers!
