Notes/Commercial Description:
This spectacularly golden, medium bodied IPA was crafted from a winning combination of Golden Promise malt and Nugget hops.

Fall in love with the big hop aroma of our Golden Nugget as it mingles with fragrances of citrus and evergreen, followed by a floral sweetness. Tropical fruit flavors entice your taste buds before immediately captivating you with a bold, hop forward taste and a pleasant bitterness that lingers in the finish.

The beer pours a golden amber color, with good head retention and considerable lacing. The nose is attractive as well, with some light tropical fruit, some orange citrus and light celery salt. The flavor profile replicates the nose for the most part, though I get a bit of heat on the finish that is a bit disconcerting. The beer has good bitterness on the finish otherwise, and mouthfeel is suprisingly full fo such a low (relatively) low alcohol beer. Frankly, I was surprised that the abv. was a low as it was... I would have guessed something in the 8% range were I to sample this beer blind.

A nice, solid IPA, though obviously not in the same class as the APA made by these guys (the pseudosue). Still, this was a beer I was happy to be able to try. Thanks again Sean!

Appearance: Pours a clear golden color with a nice bubble show that leads to a three-fingered head; excellent retention and the lace is webbed

Smell: Floral aromatics, with cantaloupe wafting among the usual citrus and tropical fruit tones

Taste: Just a hint of the biscuit and then its all about the hops, with grapefruit, papaya and cantaloupe tones; very delicate and floral, after the swallow and into the finish

Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: An excellent beer from Toppling Goliath; love the delicate way they have to present the hops with just a touch of malt in the background

This is a light IPA with a clear yellow in the glass with a two finger plus head. It leaves a lot of lacing along the glass.

Smell is concentrated pine with some earthy tones, not much citrus on the nose.

Taste was all pine that jumps out at the first sip and throughout the glass. The citrus is not as evident if you are looking from light citrus ex. orange/grapefruit etc. The citrus comes with a good bit of acid taste like grapefruit skin. Not as pleasant as Citra hop beers.

Overall, a nice drink with a lot of piney flavors with a citrus skin bite. I like this beer for easy drinking with a meal.
