Poured from a 22oz bottle into a narrow tulip glass.
A: Extremely light in color; a bright, yellowish gold gives off a very welcoming appearance. Nice full head for its light color. The head is a perfectly shiny white that sticks around all the way till the last drop.
S: Very citrusy, and fruity in smell. The citra hop really comes through and is very appealing. I thought that the mango character came out a lot stronger in the aroma rather than the taste which worked to the beer's benefit.
T: Very simple beer (single hopped) that still packs a mouthful of flavor. Very slight hints of mango, but orange came through more for me in the taste. The citra hop still packs an impressive bitterness, however, for a 50 IBU beer this does not seem as bitter as the number would suggest due to the great, mellowing, blend its citrusy components give it.
M: Beer goes down extremely smooth with a fairly medium body to it. The mouthfeel of the head is just as good as its appearence.
O: This is a year round brew that in my opinion makes for an exceptional spring/summer beer. This would be a great beer to enjoy in the sun, out on the deck/porch. I am extremely impressed with this single hopped brew. Goes to show that a lot of the time simpler is better.
