Poured from a 22oz bottle into a tulip glass.
No idea when it was bottled.
A- a light gold. Opaque for a pale ale. No head and virtually no lace. A few bubbles in the center of the beer. Looks more like a sour than a pale ale.
S- honestly when i first smelled it it reminded me of urine. But now i'm getting sweet hops like orange and grass. The malt is well hidden but there is a faint syrupness.
T- follows the nose a lot. There is no bitterness even though there is a strong hop character. The hops are sweet and citrusy and leaves a tangy deliciousness on the back of your tongue. The hops sit in your mouth waiting for the next sip. Very very delicious taste.
M- so smooth. No bitterness or harshness on the swallow. Not really any kind of carbonation either. Very nice mouthfeel.
O- very very well made pale ale. Definitely my favorite pale ale i've had. So smooth and sweet hops mix so well with the malt. So delicious.

Huge thanks to bilco for the bottle.
Appearance: Slight chill haze on a honey a copper a dark gold. Head is bright-white bubbly and leaves distinct sheets and notches of lacing. Decent head retention leaves a small cap. Moderate carbonation on the pour.
Smell: Citra explosion. Mango, pineapple, tangerine and all things tropical. Light and bright and fruity. Something like a buttered club cracker. Light pale malt sweetness coupled with a slight caramel malt. Slightly bready. Almost like butterscotch. Definitely not an infection, but the Citra is way more prevalent than I've encountered. Peach. Light and clean and fruity.
Taste: Very slightly bitter. Some hints of pine needle. Tropical but a little less than the nose. Mango, pineapple in abundance, peach, and tangerine. Super juicy and wet. Malts are light and bready with some slight cooked malts. A touch sweet outside of the fruity hops. So much Citra. Mild buttered biscuit. Bready with some caramelized sweetness. Slight bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Medium to light body with a wet but not slick mouthfeel. Moderate carbonation and decidedly clean. A touch dry.
Overall: Sue can be my friend.
It's a pure Citra beer. That makes it good.
