22oz bottle poured into an Idle Hands tulip. Received as a great, great extra in a recent trade with Jeffrey2310. Big thanks for the chance to try this one!
A - Pours a pale translucent golden color with a thick finger of frothy white foam that dies to a thick collar and plenty of lacing on the glass after a minute or two.
S - Super citrusy aroma - filled with fresh grapefruit with great intensity. A bit sweaty, lots of tropical fruits - pineapple-y and mango-y. Malt doesn't stand a chance against the onslaught of citra hops here.
T - Thick, resiny citrus thru and thru. Lots of grapefruit and mango. and tons of pine, traces of mint. Solid medium bitterness level with a good sharp edge to it. Mild, dry and biscuity malt in the background with only the faintest hint of sweetness - quite dry overall.
M - Lightish body with a bright, medium carbonation. Flavors give this an impression of heaviness beyond the body itself with its thick, resiny hop presence.
O - Really nice Citra hop pale ale. As one would expect, full of citrusy grapefruit flavors and a big hit of pine. Flavors are dense with hops. Very enjoyable pale ale.

22 oz. bottle:
Pours clouded golden with a thin head. Strands of lacing stick
The smell is of a robust hop explosion. The powerful aroma came through upon opening the bottle. It has a wonderful citric aroma - grapefruit, orange and mango.
The taste is of bitter citric and tropical fruits. A subtle malt backing has a cracker-like character. It balances the hops while showcasing the citra hops. A touch of pepper mixes in in the long finish.
The body is appropriate for a pale ale that is on the fuller side of the spectrum. Overall, it is smooth despite a bite to it.
A great show of citra hops. A hoppy pale ale, for sure. Not harsh though there is a bit of a bite. A very enjoyable APA.
