Notes/Commercial Description:
Our Naughty 90 Oaked IPA was inspired by ocean bound, oak barreled brews of the 1800’s. Packed with hops on a 90-minute schedule, uniquely malted, then aged on a bed of oak, this IPA delivers a taste that is both innovative and timeless.

A-EBF sample pour. Naughty 90 is a darker amber color. A thin, tan head bubbles up.

S-Wow, the nose really stresses the oak. Lots of oak. Softer citrusy hops along with some herbal hops. Hints of vanilla.

T-The oak, again, is very forward and pure. It goes very nice with the subtle hoppiness. Candied citrus hops, floral hops and some light grass. Vanilla and a relatively full maltiness. Caramel and toffee. Quite rich.

M-Has some body to it. Dry with a lingering woody aftertaste. Just a tad sticky. Softer carbonation.

O/D-One of the biggest sleepers from EBF. Every beer Toppling Goliath brought I needed to try but this one was a bit of an afterthought. I am glad I tried it because I ended up loving it. An old timey English IPA with loads of oakiness. I normally don't like oaky IPAs but this one is so naturally balanced that I didn't have to deal with the awkward clash of hops and oak.
