Latest batch, opened 10/11/13
A- Pours a brilliantly clear orange/copper with an inch white head. Great retention.
S-Grapefruit, lemon zest, oranges, mango- a mixture of tropical fruit with a little bit of grassy. A touch of bready malt comes out also.
T- Huge fresh hop flavor- a ton of grapefruit and pineapple dominate. Bitterness is right where I want it to be. Present, but it isn't harsh or sharp. There is a little bit of caramel/bready malt on the back end, providing some balance to the full frontal assault of hops.
M- A little sharp and dry, although right on the edge of where I like it. Drinks easily...I wish it had a touch less carbonation though.
O- Fantastic DIPA from a brewery I wish I could drink from every day. Not a whole lot to say- this is definitely a big double IPA. Dry enough to let the hops shine through, but enough malt support so they aren't overpowering.
hnnng/10, would drink again.
