22 oz bottle. Pours clear dark gold with a medium white head that quickly goes to a thin collar that laces the glass some.

The aroma is sweet crystal malts and fruity, grassy hops.

The flavor is sweet caramel malts with some fruity grassy hops that have good bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and a bit watery.

Overall, it has good bitterness but too much sweet malt and not good hop flavors. It's a bit vegetal too.

Bomber served cold into an imperial pint glass.

Hookiebobb is an amber orange color with very good clarity. The head is thin even with a straight-up pour.

Aroma is nicely hopped and fresh with pleasant orange and other citrus coming through.

Flavor is also enjoyable managing good balance between bitter hops and a mildly caramel-focused malt.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied and nicely carbonated.

Overall a really solid IPA. Balanced and drinkable. It's good enough to make me want to try their other offerings so that's a good sign.

I picked this up at Cecil's in South Lake Tahoe. It is right above Stateline Brewery.

Appearance- clear copper color, pretty thick head

Smell- wonderful aroma of citrus and floral hops, piney hops too

Taste- very well balanced, citrus, floral hops

Mouthfeel- medium bodied

Drinkability- I thought this beer was very good. It has an australian hop in it that I found very interesting. Very good beer!

22 oz bomber pours a crystal clear gold color with a fat head of white foam . Pretty good retention and even better lacing.

Nose is grainy, biscuity malt at first then is followed up by some grassy hops and maybe a hint-o-pine. Really surprised at how malty this one is though, I sure wouldnt have guessed IPA.

Taste is grainy, bunt biscuit bottoms with a touch of leafy greens. This tastes more like an IPA born in the late 80's than a newly discovered recipe. Moderate bitterness on the finish. Im not overly surprised since I have had a few Crazy Mountain 'hoppy' offerings, but I can say I am disappointed. Good price point at less than $5 a bomber, but I would rather spend a few bucks more and get a sixer of their Lava Lake wit.

Poured from a 22oz bottle into a mug glass.

A: The beer is a deep amber color, with a large foamy off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a very thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains fruity citrus, floral hops and caramelized malts.

T: The taste starts out sweet with flavors of caramel and citrus. Then a strong but not over-powering hops presence comes in. The malt character is very hearty for the style and brings a good balance. The after-taste is slightly hoppy and slightly sweet.

M: Crisp and smooth but a bit on the watery side for the style, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.

O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, decent kick, good representation of style, it might not be the best IPA or the most standard but it’s worth drinking for a while.

A: Pours a clear medium to dark golden yellow in color with some light to moderate amounts of visible carbonation and some peach + orange highlights. The beer has a finger tall foamy/sudsy bright white head that slowly reduces to a couple of medium sized thick patches and a thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer with a thick ring at the edges of the glass.

S: Moderate aromas of sweet caramel malts with moderate aromas of pine/hops, citrus/grapefruit pith, and light floral hops.

T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of sweet caramel malts with some moderate flavors of pine/hops and a light hint of citrus/grapefruit pith. Very light hints of floral hops are present as well. Moderate amounts of bitterness which lingers for a short while.

M: Medium bodied with moderate to heavy amounts of carbonation. Slightly thin/watery.

O: Seems a little bit like a hybrid of the English and American IPA styles - not a bad beer but not one I will be grabbing again. I would have liked a little more in the mouthfeel and more hop flavor for the bitterness.
