This beer was brewed by Hess Brewing for local restaurant Local Habit's 1st anniversary. Apparently Hess was the first beer they had on tap when the restaurant opened, so they brewed a special Rye IPA for the eateries 1st birthday. There were only 6 kegs of this produced.
Pours a hazy orangish yellow with a thick head. Epic retention and leaves lacing all the way down to the last sip.
Smells fresh and inviting on this warm summer day. Light hops.
Tastes as refreshing as it sounds. I found myself trying to slow down while drinking this. Very easy drinker. Not too bitter.
No unpleasant aftertastes. Perfectly carbonated.
I wish this was a regular release. I could easily drink this on a more regular basis. I hope it ends up being more than just a one-off brew.
Serving type: on-tap
