Notes/Commercial Description:
TROOPER takes its name from the Iron Maiden song which is inspired by the famous Charge of the Light Brigade. Being a real ale enthusiast, vocalist Bruce Dickinson has developed a beer which has true depth of character.

TROOPER is a Premium British Beer inspired by Iron Maiden and handcrafted at Robinsons brewery. Malt flavours and citric notes from a unique blend of Bobec, Goldings and Cascade hops dominate this deep golden ale with a subtle hint of lemon.

Copper to tan and clear, head and lace aint bad.

Aroma and taste: malty, caramel malt, bread, some graininess, grass, floral hops, a little citrus.

Body is light to medium-light and slightly slick, carbonation medium and smooth.

Overall I don't think it's at the top of the category, but I also don't think it's at all bad. That's why I gave it a straight across the board 3.5 - it's better than just ok but it's not really outstanding.

And yes, I'm going to keep the bottle. It's gonna be displayed on a shelf in the man-cave/brewhaus.

1 PT 0.9 FL. OZ. bottle
Served in an imperial nonic

A - It is clear and amber in color. It is capped with several inches of off-white head.

S - I smell fresh cut grass. It also has a metallic smell.

T - I taste some toast and light caramel.

M - Thin

O - I have noticed that every beer label that has to proclaim itself a "premium" beer is usually not good. This is no exception.

Clean copper appearance, with a good foa, off-white, and long standing.
English smell, with some pepper, som etea, and earthly notes. Standard, but pleasant.
Similar notes in the mouth, clean and drinkable.
Well done beer, balanced, classic, easy to drink.

Overall an okay beer that is really easy to drink and even enjoyable on this hot summer day. Just so much better stuff out there. Really cool bottle and band nostalgia if your into 'Iron Maiden' even remotely I would definitely grab it~
