First stopped in this place over the weekend after failing to make a visit since the place opened.
The ambiance is really fantastic. I love the brewery flags hanging by the bar, and the viewable keg room was nice. The steel pipes coming from the keg room and creating the tap backdrop are a really nice touch.
Service was good. Bartender was friendly and pretty knowledge. Great selection of drafts with a good mixture of import and craft. I hadn't seen Duvel Green on tap in awhile, so was happy to grab a tulip of that.
Pricing was really nice, with happy hour drafts sitting at $3.
Overall, a really nice experience and I will most certainly be coming back.

This is my one of my favorite Arlington bars. I don't go to bars that often but my wife and I come here pretty regularly. It can get pretty busy in the evening and at lunchtime but it is never deafening. They have a large and always changing selection which includes 2 casks and many bottles. Recent highlights for me have been Firestone Walker XVII, BCBS, Stone Enjoy By, and St Bernardus Christmas. They easy compete for best selection in Arlington and are bested by only a couple in DC.
The food is good but I come here more for the beer than the food. They have many different pizzas along with some sandwiches and pastas. The bartenders are great and knowledgeable but the waitstaff in the restaurant area can be hit or miss.
What I really appreciate is the effort the management has put into making this a beer destination. The brewery flags and general decor let you know what is most important here. Once a month they have multi course beer dinners with a selected brewery. They are also very good about announcing new beers and events though Facebook.
Pricing is reasonable when you get over the fact that DC is just expensive.

Fireworks seems to be a relative newcomer to the Clarendon scene, which was once graced by the late and lamented Dr. Dremo - their former location now a construction site a few blocks away. It sits on a corner with a blazing patio fireplace beckoning all to enter. The interior is sleek and attractive, high ceilngs and large storefront windows allowing for plenty of natural light. Of course, one finds the usual array of plasma TVs and booths all about. The bar is a large one that curves inward. The walls are adorned with scads of beer paraphenalia. The tap list of about 5o oft rotating selections was excellent - and included 2 casks (and they fill growlers.) Something for everyone if that something is beer. The server passed the Water Test, so nary a complaint in this area.
Then there is the wood stove pizza' while not as great as those serves at Flatbread (Burlington, VT), their pies were tasty and of managable portions. (I chose the 10" Quattro Carne.0 They seem to have a reasonable Happy Hour, including Sunday until 5pm. And for those who wish avoiding parking hassles, the Courthouse Metro (Orange Line) is a few blocks away.
One Issue: I deducted points for "Atmosphere" because they allowed children at the bar. Sorry, this is a serious peeve for me.
