I’m not one for fruit in beer but this wasn’t too bad ( I drank it vs dumping like I thought I would have)

I got a can of this beer from a mixed holiday 12pck that I bought from my local meijer store. It poured an opaque dark with tan head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had blueberry and wheat notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with heavy blueberry presence with grain and wheat malts. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

Pours a pitch black with a big caramel, foamy head. Slowly reducing to mocha rocks. Nose is blueberry, maple syrup and browned pancakes. Amazing how accurately this tics the description. Taste follows suit with a bitter milkshake stout base undertone. Feel is a little thin as the abv is low, but it’s not off putting. Pretty good beer.

Pours up a handsome glass, nice and dark, with a good looking head. But sadly, it goes all ordinary pretty quick - no head, no lace. Big sweet malty nose, tons of chocolate. Fruitiness of the blueberries comes through as it warms up. Chocolate syrup with a bitter chocolate aftertaste. Noticeable blueberry. Pancakes? I get more like blueberry muffin. You have to love a sweet stout to like this one, will be too sweet for some tastes. Dessert beer.

Thanks to superspak for this heavenly smelling gem. Record in NBS BIF #10
Pours a dark brown, light fluffy tan head rises a finger or so in height. Pearlescent bubbles reflect the light. Shy on the lacing.
Aromas are lush, moist blueberry heavy muffins. Really does waft of fresh off the grill blueberry pancakes.
Flavor doesn't follow so faithfully. Notes of blueberries, vanilla, and caramelized sugars for sure. But a most minuscule char note comes through with a slight earthiness.
Mouthfeel is smooth, lightly carbonated. Not quite as creamy of a mouthfeel that I would expect for a milk stout.
Overall, pretty tasty. Probably pretty hard to live up to the promise of the nose. Definitely worth a try.

A- Pours a dark, semi clear cola and/or rootbeer color. The head starts out thick and puffy, but the retention factor isn't the greatest....it settles fairly fast from a three finger thickness into only a thin ring around the inside of the glass. There are lots of wee bubbles showing themselves right on the underside of the top of the liquid, rising in quick fashion, perhaps suggesting that the carbonation is heavy? Lacing is pretty much non existent, only leaving behind an oily film on the glass.....seen better but seen worse.

S- Well what can I say....it smells of fresh blueberries that have been gently crushed, along with fresh off the skillet sweet dough and maple blueberry syrup covered pancakes! Awesome chocolate truffle richness, big time vanilla extract and thats really about it.....breakfast in a can in terms of aroma.....perfection!

T- Ok this is different than the aromas let on.....I find that while it does have some of that sweetness with noted blueberry baked blueberry or even blueberry syrup, it has more dark malty sweetness that is connected with the style. Dark chocolate, coffee, slight licorice root and a general Earthiness with blackstrap molasses and burnt char take over in moments of tasting this one. I do find a sweeter doughy yeast throughout and hints of maple too. I quite like the flavor and I really don't find it overpowering but rather balanced between sweet and bitterness....after all this is a milk stout right?!

M/O- A little lighter in body than I would have first thought and the carbonation is crisp at first, slowly giving way to a smoother, creamier version of itself that allows the silky texture of the blueberry creme, wheat flour and sweetness to coat the palate. The alcohol hides well behind the lactose and fruitiness and the drinkability is not what I would say is high......one can is plenty, as this becomes sticky on the palate as it warms and I could see how it becomes too much for some maybe. I would definitely welcome the opportunity to enjoy it again and think it is a job well done!

Smells like a blueberry pancake and looks like it'll be good but literally didn't even drink more than a forth of it. It was not good at all.
