tried this on cask at the brewpub back in july. these are my notes.
served in a nonic.
a - pours a hazy amber color with a finger thick, wispy, soapy head. foam lasts for the duration and leaves thin webs of lacing behind.
s - grainy sweet and earthy. faint mint?
t - toasted malt with a faint, honey like sweetness. has a strong herbal and earthy hop character reminiscent of wormwood. bitterness hangs on the tongue for a while. interesting hop profile here.
m - light in body with very little carbonation, yet still smooth.
o - decent beer but a little rough around the edges i think. my girlfriend had the same thing but on tap instead of cask and we agreed the tap version was a little better. glad i got to try it but probably wouldn't order it again.
