Had this on tap at Topper's pizza last Friday.
Look: Orange amber, minimal lacing.
Smell: Wheat-y, some fruit, a little bit of banana.
Taste: I... there was pineapple in there. I expect citrus in a Hef, sure, but this was pineapple. And I just wasn't enjoying it. Others at the table took a sip and didn't mind it.
With the pizza, though, it was better. So maybe that was the secret.
Feel: Light, not much carbonation.
I don't know, I might try it from a different place someday, give it a second chance.

Wish I could find this more places. Found at Pitfire Pizza on Westwood in Los Angeles. It's the best tasting and best feeling hefeweizen I've ever had.

The howlin hefeweizen is the perfect example that the American craft is succeeding from its European counterparts
