A - Your fairly typical diner, but a little nicer.
S - Service is always friendly, but nothing extraordinary.
S - Great selection for a diner. They only have a few taps, but they are usually good selections.
F - One of the best breakfast places in the city, with probably the best hash. I've only been a couple of times for dinner and the food was solid, but not spectacular.
V - Good value for what you get.
Overall, a good place to stop in for breakfast, but not my first choice for food and dinner choices in the city.

I really like this place. It should be noted that they only have a handful of beers on tap and bottle, but I give them the nod for good selection because they are excellent choices. I am in the beer business myself, and really like the fact that they had Brooklyn Sorachi Ace and have Avery Maharaja when its in season. These are not easy beers to sell, so I appreciate the fact that they try to have good beer, not just what will move. They had an Avery Dinner and one of the beers... lets just say I couldnt get it from my rep and I dig that about them. It is open 24 hours a day, (of course they cant sell beer all that time) and has great food, breakfast lunch and dinner. (I usually go breakfast, their bourbon maple syrup is fantastic.) Go check this place out if you want a good beer with good food, or either one alone.

Was here for the Avery beer dinner, 24 Jul 2010.
All Avery beers at the dinner (imagine that). Beers that night included White Rascal, Depuceleuse, IPA, Maharaja, and Mephaddict. The five courses were good for the most part, the best being the duck confit and the worst being the sausage stuffed squid (unanimous on both counts at our table of four).
Other beers that I saw on tap that night included Real Ale XIV, a couple of Live Oaks and some (512). They had five or six taps total and several bottles to choose from.
A little pricey for the dinner ($55 per plate) but their regular menu seemed a bit less.
