Great homebrew shop in Longmont. Mark is very attentive to every customer and has good knowledgeable advice to help you out. He hasn't been in the business very long but he sure has learned quickly and can help you out with any problem you may be having when your brewing.
He has filled his little shop to the brim with all the basics and then some. I came to him with a recipe and he showed me where the recipe could improve with some logical explanations. It's a convenient location for me, but I've been to a few other places and would go out of my way for Bald Brewer so I can have a better experience if it was located elsewhere.

I love this little shop! It's got a ton of stuff... 50 or more types of grains, a couple dozen varieties of hops, pretty much all the white labs yeasts (and no problem to order any yeast that's not in stock). There's at least a dozen types each for beer and wine kits. They also have a fair amount of equipment, and the stock is always growing. Plus, the owner's almost always in the store - and super friendly and eager to help newbies through experts find what they need. You can tell when a guy loves what he's doing - and what he's brewing, and Mark's always bubbling with enthusiasm about beer and wine.

The guy and the place are pretty cool but I'm not sure this is the best or cheapest way to go. He is literally the bald brewer just so you know.
It's a small shop in a not so big town and not well advertised but it's doing fine. I recommend checking it out if you want to get equipment, there will be a thing or two you will want.
I wouldn't buy too much there though as the prices aren't tops and he doesn't have much variety as far as equipment and grains/hops go.
He also seems a bit overwhelmed at times and doesn't really seem to be able to multitask well.
