When I went, we were seated at a white linen-topped table with no one around. Not much of a beer selection on tap, with a couple better ones in bottle. Had a burger that was mediocre. It was quiet and the service was good, though. Not very exciting, little after-work presence. It feels more like a restaurant than a tavern. I wouldn't go here if beer is your focus, but it's more than good for a relaxing light meal. There's so much else around in Fell's that you could easily go someplace elsewhere (like Max's) for a wider selection of beers.

I like this place, and I go here often for the food during lunch. I've been at night too for some beer pong, which is cool, it's set up upstairs. There is an upstairs and downstairs bar. They have Troegs Hop Back on tap, which already sets this bar as above average in my opinion. I'm not sure what they currently have on tap, but yes MAX's across the street is the place to go for beers but it does get crowded.

I like Alexander's. They have a taco eating competition I believe. On Mondays at Lunch they have 5 dollar burgers, which are fantastic. The sweet potato fries are great too. They have $3 mimosas on Saturday and Sunday's I believe, which is good for the ladies that don't drink beer.

$3 dollar all drafts including all microbrews is on my magnet I have at my office. I like the feel of the place and the food. For the beer I've enjoyed it, but it's literally right across the street from Max's so if they don't have what you want at Alexander's you can go there.

After a pleasant afternoon luxuriating at Max's Baltimore Beer Week celebration of Vermont's Long Trail beer, I decided to meander across Broadway Market Plaza to Alexander's Tavern, where there was a promise of $3.00 Troeg pints. There was.

To anyone seeking a variety of draft beer, Alexander's will never be confused with the aforementioned Max's. However, if you seek a quieter atmosphere with a low key environment, where you can sate yourself with a scrumptious Cuban sandwich alongside a heaping salver of delicious tater tots, then this is the place.

The bar area is narrow: to the right is a brick wall festooned with waist high "shelves" for elbows, phones, beer and what-not; opposite is the bar, average-size seating about twenty-five. Packed is what you have in such a lay out. In the back there is a large area for "formal" dining.

As mentioned, this is no beervana; there are the usual suspects along with regional crafts. Remember, Max's is across the street. The food, however, was excellent and the portions were more than adequate. One could do worse by fortifying themselves here before going .... well, you know where. The major downside is that Alexander's Tavern does attract a large share of BMC-swilling twenty-somethings who wander into the place looking for a quick drunk or a fast .... well, you know what.
