I stopped here while I was driving to San Antonio one weekend. We bought our gas and as we were about to drive off, we decidided to check out the beer selection about buy something. They had a nice selection of craft beers. They didnt have anything super rare, but did have some nice quality beers. I ended up picking up some Arrogant Bastard and a 6 of New Belgium Fat Tire for the wifey. I love HEB and think that there is no other basic grocery store with this store of selection. They also have food that is amazing that would go perfectly with a lot of their beers.

This is my regular grocery store beer stop. Selection is not huge but April will work with you to special order items (tell her I sent you). Sam Adams, Sierra Nevada, and New Belgium are always available, along with Real Ale and of course Shiner. St. Arnold's seems to be hit or miss, though they did get a few cases of the DR11. Occasionally Chimay, Stone bombers, and the Avery Demon series.

Overall good for picking up a cold six or 12, but you're not going to find anything too out of the ordinary here.

This HEB doesn't have quite the selection as the HEB plus in Hewitt, but its decent and its actually located in Waco. They seem to always carry the full lineup with seasonal rotators from Shiner, Sam Adams and Sierra Nevada. But they also carry some Stone bombers (Arrogant Bastard and Smoked Porter) and also have some random stuff on the dry shelf, like: Breckenridge 471, Stone Pale, SN 30th Anniversary Imp Helles. The prices may not be the cheapest, but they are likely close, definitely decent.
