Pours clear light amber orange with a nice white head that quickly fades. Pale orange in the glass after the head fades.
Nose is all oranges and sweet esters. Assertive sweet cooked bananas. Unfortunately, nose fades fast when in the glass even for a short time.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with light carbonation and a fresh character.
Flavor profile starts with an immediate "hit" of fresh fruit that quickly jumps to more typical grassy/green saison flavor profile.
Finish is nice celery bitter with a little salt character. Dry and long lasting in the mouth.

New arrival to the Chicago market. The clever original artwork stood out on the shelf, and the small variety of exclusively Belgian styles had appeal. Priced at $5.99.
Into a tulip glass it pours a pale straw gold, slightly hazy with a collar of foam around the edges. Aromas of sourdough, straw, slight bubblegum yeast esters in the background.
Smooth and clean, fairly crisp finish with dry grassy noble hops. Creamy carbonation, light floral traces, lemon rind, pilsner malt, and a moderate bitterness that lingers. Hint of bubblegum, not sweet though thankfully. Overall a nice little saison, one to try if you enjoy the style.

Drank from my Mane tulip
A - Pours hazy golden colour. Head is white and reduces quickly
S - Little spice and floral hop
T - Same as the smell.
M - Medium body and carbonation.
O - This compared to Saison Dupont is like comparing Beverley Hills to Bangladesh. Avoid

Tasting @ Wally's. Reviewed from notes.
A: Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow with a 1/2" white head which leaves a few spots of lace.
N: Peppery spices, grass/hay, yeasty, earthy and herbal.
T: Peppery spices, estery and yeasty. Fairly straightforward.
M: Semi-moderate body and medium carbonation. Finishes with spices and yeast.
O: Enjoyable offering, but not top of class.

Chill hazed golden colored beer with a small white colored head.
Smells of toasted grain and fresh cut apricot with a little raisin thrown in. Slightly musty and earthy malt aroma, more of a complexity than a brewing fault. faint coriander and sweet and sour pickle aroma. There is a trace of cinnamon and ginger in this one. This certainly has a complex aroma.
Starts out dry and a little bitter for the style something like a really hoppy Pilsner. Toasted grain and some coriander this doesn't taste as complex as the sent might promise. Still there is a hint of cucumber in the taste profile, quite unique for the style. Bitterness abates a bit as you drink it but this is one assertive Saison.
Mouthfeel is good.
Overall this is unique for the style and a suggested try for anyone who likes this style. Bitter is strong with this one if you want a Saison that bites back this is your beer.

never heard of this brewery before... the label is cool and it is a saison from northern california.... so i had to try it.
the pour is a hazy yellow with a little foam. it retains a little and you get some nice sticky bubbles on the side of the glass as you drink.
i am getting very little aroma here, though i don't expect a lot from a saison... mild grassy malt smell, pleasant but that is all.
the taste is very dry, almost a little burnt.... and i get a pilsner taste, maybe there is some pilsner malt mixed in....? no real live yeast sensation which i associate with a good european saison. the finish is clean and dry which is positive. zero hop presence... again... i get pilsner type hops, saaz or other typical varieties.
this is a quality beer, but nothing really exciting -- i get no floral or citrus/fuity quality. i would cite a hint of banana if anything.
all things being said, this beer is brewed to style, and for that i applaud. it tastes like a saison should taste.... with a few tweeks this could turn into a CONTENDA!

Pour is clear golden yellow with decent white head. Nose of lemon rind, soap, and a bit of barnyard/yeast.
Sweet entry is pleasant. Orange zest, pepper, a hint of honey. Nice spicy flavors in back. Mouthfeel is rather full and slightly thick - lacks spritzy, carbonation I expect for style. Despite my expectations, I just felt this had a nice heft, but failed to finish on mouthfeel.
There is a lot to like with this beer. Complex but rather simple flavors (which I love about saison), fresh, satisfying.
I would like this as a lawnmower beer. I look forward to trying more from this brewer.

Poured from the bottle a lightly hazy dark yellow color with one finger of bubbly beige head. Light sheet of lacing left behind.
Light aroma of floral, earthy funk notes and a hint of spiciness.
The taste was like the aroma. Light floral and earthy funk notes along with spice and grainy malts.
Medium bodied with a moderate carbonation.
An easy drinking and pretty good saison but not in the great category.
