32 oz. growler poured into a large goblet. Filled a few days ago at Whole Foods Glen Mills.

A - Pours a pale hazy yellow with a few fingers of bright white head. Leaves behind a nice lacing. Visibly effervescent with cascading bubbles throughout the body.

S - Smells of musty clove, tart pear, and fresh flowers. A little bit of funk on the nose, but mostly citrus and sweet Belgian aromas. Pretty good.

T - Immediately sour with big granny smith apple notes. Some must on the back end with hints of oak. Lemon zest on the finish along with some Brett funk. This one has the pucker of a cider with the dryness of a champagne. Very enjoyable.

M - Highly carbonated, contributing to the refreshing nature. As previously mentioned, the finish is dry.

O - I very much enjoyed this beer. I have to believe this is more similar to the traditional farmhouse ales of centuries past than today's 8-10% varieties. This beer is extremely refreshing with prominent tart flavors and a light feel. I could easily see drinking this in lieu of water on a hot day working the fields. A very good session beer, highly recommended. The fill was under $5, and overall I was very pleased.

pour is lightly hazed golden yellow with a tight white head. The nose is sweet of honey and lemon. Faint spice character and yeast. Taste is same, all sweetness and virtually no Saison farmhouse note or zest yeast. Body and syrupy, thick, faint zest in finish with gentle carb. Bit of a session able beer but no complexity or Saison characteristic.

Draft @ TJ's...
Lavery - Oaked Liopard Oir: Appears a hazy, bright gold with a fluffy white cap that slowly fades into a gentle head.  Tons of scattered lace is left around the glass.
Smell is of oaky vanilla up front with lemon, herbs, white grapes, cracked wheat, and funk.
Taste is of the aromas with a funky lemon and barnyard flavor that pulls in notes of white wine.  Nice stuff!
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, zesty, tart, and very dry.  Well done beer!!!
