Thanks to Holmes698 for sending this in a trade.

Poured from the can into a nonic pint glass.

A- A translucent, orange and amber color combination. It is clearer than I expected it to be but not yellow or fizzy by any means. Produced a little head that dissipated quickly and left almost no lacing.

S- A strong hop aroma that hits hard up front and is then followed by the wet pine smell. More and more pleasant the more it warms up.

T- Very, very hoppy. A nice level of bitterness that packs a good punch.

M- Medium carbonation. This brew is very slick and coats your whole mouth which leaves the taste lingering for a bit.

O- A pleasant APA experience. I enjoyed this brew and it is very sessionable at 5.5%. I wish I had more.

12oz brown bottle, sample from the brewery.

Mild haze in the dull golden color, lots of sudsy action. Rind, pith, and zest in the nose with hints of grain, yeast, & faint esters. Smooth and crisp, lots of pith and bitterness from the hops. Some grain and yeast but the hops dominate here, more a rind and a bit of zest in the middle. White tea, leafy, dry. Hint of alcohol. A pretty aggressive IPA for 5.5%. All in all, good drinking.

Pours a pale copper slightly hazed body with a big bubbled white head, forms thick chunky banded lacing for nice appearance. Aroma has straight up citrus peel and pineapple notes it's tropical fruit mélange of love of the hops. Flavors up front bitterness balanced with pale biscuit malts this beer drinks effortlessly dead on body with even keeled carbonation slick oily feel poured from a can I'm looking for a case of this stuff soon. Definitely worth it especially while it's as fresh as this sample is!!!

Color is coppery gold with a medium white head that reduces to a slim topping with nice lacing
Smell is as if brewed with old hay. A barn yardness I've not smelled before
A huge hop mouthfeel supported by the hay smell is somewhat off putting at first, but grew on me as the brew started to warm.
Overall an oddness that might have me try again if it available, but with the number is IPA's available, not one I'd chose over more recognized brands

I thought this was a nice little IPA, ironically kinda cutting edge these days to do an IPA at just 5.5%, but they pull it off well. Lots of citrus in the nose, grapefruit and tangerine perhaps, maybe a touch of pine, good and present bitterness on the palate and a body that just stands up to the hop punch. In cans too? This would be a great candidate for one of those beers you always have around.

Categorized as an American IPA, I would venture to call this Erie PA's rendition of a West-Coast IPA. Without a doubt, Dulachan can compete with the likes of Green Flash and Lagunitas. However, weighing-in at a respectable 5.6% A.B.V., Dulachan is sessionable to the point whereby it must be considered the premiere picnic beer for the craft crowd tending to the responsibilities that come along with adulthood.

A pillowy head forms when poured into a glass--and little is lost when you crack a can (concealed) on Presque Isle. The head dissipates rapidly, but let's just call that Mother Nature and Father Time's way of encouraging you to drink-up.

A- pours a hazy golden-yellow color with a nice two-finger foamy white head, great retention long after the pour

S- big leafy and floral hop aromas with some orange zest, tropical fruity notes of pineapple and mango with a hint of mint, very nice

T- tropical fruity flavors stand out up front with lots of mango and pineapple, a nice sugary sweet maltiness mid-palate, followed by some floral hop flavors finishing dry

M- medium body and carbonation lead to a foamy mouthfeel with a crisp finish, very drinkable

O- a nice balance is achieved with some great tropical and floral hop flavors being complimented by a sweet malty backbone. High drinkability makes this one go down too easily
