Have had this one several times, and figured I should review (I've also been ticking too much due to shares and am hoping to break that trend). Poured from a can into the 2014 KBS tulip.
A- Pour results in a finger of white head that has decent retention. Fades to some lingering carbonation on top and some lacing on the glass. Dull, somewhat hazy orange in color.
S- Beautiful bouquet on this beer. Quite dank, smelling of a freshly cut lawn, with some piney resin, and grapefruit/orange aromas. Sweet citrus with a hint of caramel from the malt. Love the nose in this one.
T- Not quite as impressive as the aroma, but lovely, nonetheless. LOTS of hop bitterness that fortunately has a good malt presence to balance it out. Getting mostly grapefruit and grass on the taste. The bitterness really lingers, too, which I always like.
M- Medium carbonation with a medium mouthfeel. The level of carbonation is just right. If there were more, this beer would be hard to drink. Love the way the hops linger. This beer is deceptively smooth.
O- Lavery is an up and coming brewery that is doing many things well, including this beer. Low ABV with huge aromas and flavors, without sacrificing the mouthfeel. Try their beers if the opportunity presents itself.
