Once the heat of summer breaks, it’s time to find your way to our coffee porter, Waypoint. This beer is brewed with the highest quality coffee blended and roasted by our neighbors at Tandem Coffee Roasters to give our mild porter a rich fruity complexity held up by a chocolatey, malty backbone. This East Bayside collaboration is available from foliage season into the depths of our Maine winter.

Nice hints of chocolate and coffee combo with bitter aftertaste but not in a bad way. An interesting brew.

Can dated 11/20/19 (I wasn't worried, are you?)
This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance had a lighter brown color in the pour but yielded more of a dark brown close to black color in the glass. A pulled together eggshell white foamy head sat on top to fall off just the way I wanted it to.
The aroma had some ashy coffee to semi-sweet with a conjured bitter tone flowing into some char/dark chocolate/dark toast conglomeration.
The flavor seemed to roll into a sly bitterness initially but ultimately allowed some coffee roast to bitter and prescribed earthy to pulled ashy wood/charcoal dry quality. Brisk aftertaste of some dry coffee and dark chocolate.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a decent sipping quality about it. Good carbonation but yielding more towards a clinging dryness pummeling my tongue into submission. Finishes with some dry coffee to dark chocolate and dark toasty effects.
Overall, I'd say it's a pretty nicely done coffee porter worthy of coming back to.

16 oz can, dated 11.27.18 puts it at about 4 months old.
Look: standard porter: dark, with a coffee colored head, nice lacing.
Aroma: Nice roasted malts, a bit of coffee.
Mouthfeel: light to medium.
Taste: malts, with coffee; very flavorful.
Considering this is only a 5% beer, it was impressive.

From a tall can, this brew has a ruddy, dark brown color...cream colored head. The aroma is of coffee and roasted grains....otherwise faint. The taste is balanced, if not just a little dry. Full in body. Interesting, but not exceptional.

A: The beer is essentially jet black in color—traces of brownish red are visible near the edges of the glass when it is held up to a bright light. It poured with a thin beige colored head that left a collar around the edge and some wisps of bubbles on the surface.
S: Light to moderate aromas of coffee beans are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has moderate flavors of roasted coffee beans with notes of cola. The beans contribute a light amount of associated bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate wand has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is nice aromas and flavors of coffee but still tastes like a porter.
