From the 22 fl. oz. bottle stamped BORN: APR 2013. Sampled on May 12, 2013.

The pour is an unfiltered hazy pale yellow with moderate carbonation building up to a huge puffy head that eventually settles back.

The aroma includes a fine array of bread, biscuit, wheat, and citrus zing not unlike pineapple or maybe something less tart like pear.

The body is light to medium with a pleasant creaminess.

The taste also highlights the bread, wheat, and citrus with a low bitterness with no lingering sensation. However the beer on the whole is very easy to drink and refreshing. (577 characters)

A: The beer is slightly hazy light pale yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that died down and consistently left a thin head covering the surface.
S: Moderate aromas of banana esters and wheat are present in the nose.
T: The taste is similar to the smell and has a little fruity sweetness along with some subtle hints of clove.
M: It feels a bit more than light-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is very drinkable, thirst-quenching and refreshing. It is a perfect beer for a hot summer day and is a good American representation of a German style. (666 characters)

Pours a straw color, slightly hazy, small fizzy head fades quickly and leaves no lacing.

Smell starts out with a malty front and has a light grassy aroma, slight citrus presence.

Taste has a decent lemon zing to it, sweet malt rounds it out, light bitterness in the aftertaste that finishes fast, carbonation is high and active, finishes slightly sweet but maintains a clean finish. (384 characters)

10 oz. on tap at the brewery in proprietary stemware on a sunny, breezy spring day with a grilled cheese sandwich.

Appearance: Hazy straw with a big white, foamy head. Seems fairly well carbonated.

Smell: Smells of clove, wheat bread and some banana.

Taste: Those bananas and cloves are right there. Tasty. Somewhat thin, but plenty of flavor for a summer beer.

Mouthfeel: Light bodied. Definitely a summer wheat beer.

Overall: Good stuff. Could see myself tipping a few of these this summer. Recommended for wheat beer fans. (530 characters)
