Appearance: 1/4 inch head and high carbonation, gold in color, hazy

Smell: lemon, wheat, and malt

Taste: big banana, wheat, and grain

Mouthfeel: sweet, light in body, medium carbonation

Overall: Of all the Rising Tide beers, this may be my favorite. I found this to be sweet and very clean. I will be getting this again.

Poured into a shaker pint. The color is cloudy straw. There is a small eighth inch head.

The aroma is full of banana with a hint of clove. Some malt honey sweetness comes through a bit as well.

The tastes balances the malt, yeast and grassy hops beautifully. With every sip I can choose to focus my pallet on a different area of flavor or I can just casually toss this one back; it's so light and drinkable. The banana-clove yeast is strong in the finish.

This is very tasty and a great American wheat beer.

A: Pours a hazy straw yellow color with almost no head

S: Very wheaty and estery with lots of banana and clove. Lightly spicy phenols give some more depth. Nice

T: Follows the nose. Starts off with lots of wheat, banana, and cloves. Get some fruity esters and spicy phenols mid-way through and then finishes with a banana/bubble gum wheatiness

M: Light-medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Lightly chalky

O: One of the best American-made Hefes I've had to date (appearance aside). Very similar to German versions, relying heavily on the wheat and banana/clove notes. Refreshing and easy to drink at 4.5%. Get some if you can find it, as it's perfect for warm summer days

From the 22 fl. oz. bottle stamped BORN: APR 2013. Sampled on May 12, 2013.

The pour is an unfiltered hazy pale yellow with moderate carbonation building up to a huge puffy head that eventually settles back.

The aroma includes a fine array of bread, biscuit, wheat, and citrus zing not unlike pineapple or maybe something less tart like pear.

The body is light to medium with a pleasant creaminess.

The taste also highlights the bread, wheat, and citrus with a low bitterness with no lingering sensation. However the beer on the whole is very easy to drink and refreshing.

A: The beer is slightly hazy light pale yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that died down and consistently left a thin head covering the surface.
S: Moderate aromas of banana esters and wheat are present in the nose.
T: The taste is similar to the smell and has a little fruity sweetness along with some subtle hints of clove.
M: It feels a bit more than light-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is very drinkable, thirst-quenching and refreshing. It is a perfect beer for a hot summer day and is a good American representation of a German style.
